Demand Planner

What's the role?

As the Demand Planner, you will have full ownership of the demand planning, forecasting, sales & operations planning and inventory management. Collaborating closely with various teams, you’ll be responsible for optimizing product availability, managing inventory, and enhancing forecast accuracy.

What does the role involve?

  • Partner with sales, marketing, hub team, global supply functions, and finance to achieve targeted sales and sustainable, profitable growth
  • Manage stock to ensure that service and inventory targets are met
  • Serve as the single contact point for all inventory-related matters, bridging the gap between the Hub and MO
  • Monitor all stock shortages ensuring that appropriate actions are taken to resolve the situation at the earliest opportunities
  • Lead regular availability communication with all stakeholders
  • Responsible for facilitating and leading the monthly sales forecast integration (SFI) meetings with EMT
  • Working with different teams to reduce obsolescence (pre-warning, sell-offs, pull-back, pruning etc.)
  • Develop accurate sales forecasts and ensure that forecasts are aligned with the annual sales plan
  • Early screening new product launch (and product phase in / out) and collect bill of materials for demand forecast and identify potential bottleneck material and clarifies lead times with upstream
  • Manage inventory approvals within SFI and inventory investment request (S&OP process)
  • Operate within inventory budget through good inventory control practices
  • Supporting management by assessing risks related to demand fluctuations and proposing solutions to improve forecast accuracy

What you need is:

  • Degree in logistics, operations management, supply chain, project management or related discipline
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in demand planning or sales & operations planning with multiple key stakeholders in large scale company or multi-national company.
  • Pro-active and attentive to details with exposure in a dynamic supply and demand environment (product planning and forecasting) is a plus
  • Strong analytical skills with customer centricity mindset and could tackle problem efficiently and logically
  • Capable in communicating and influence stakeholders at all levels internally and externally
  • Highly proficient in written and spoken English
  • Technical and digital savvy and proficient in MS office application, familiar with ERP system and experience in using SAP (APO) is an added advantage.
