Regional Legal Contract Manager

What's the role?

The Regional Legal Contract Manager is involved in full-spectrum legal & compliance topics in general, with a particular focus on project/contractual topics for large projects in the energy, automotive, industrial, construction, data centers, and oil & gas/offshore wind sectors. In Hilti, the Regions consists of sales and manufacturing entities in Middle East, Türkiye and Africa.

What does the role involve?

Be the primary legal advisor, advising and assisting Regional Teams and Market Organizations in commercial negotiations and contracts administration of Large Projects in the energy, automotive, industrial, construction, data centers, and oil & gas/offshore wind sectors. In particular, support the Region Large Projects team on all Regional or Global Large Projects matters located in the Region.

Draft, review and negotiate commercial/project contracts, with strong focus on sales and procurement project-related contracts, project correspondences/notices, NDAs, logistics/services contracts, product liability/warranty documents, distributor agreements, and other legal/commercial documents).

Provide legal advice on all Large Projects in the energy, automotive, industrial, construction, data centers, and oil & gas/offshore wind sectors. Legal matters to the Regional and Hilti Market Organizations teams in the Region in line with the Hilti group policies and procedures.

Assist and support Region Head of Legal and Compliance in all legal and compliance matters, including the roll-out of global contracting concepts for Large Projects in the energy, automotive, industrial, construction, data centers, and oil & gas/offshore wind sectors.

What you need is:

A Bachelor of Law degree is a requirement.

Minimum of 7 years working in a legal role, with experience in contract work.

Experience in project contracting in the energy, civil/commercial infrastructure construction, oil and gas/offshore wind (either in a project owner/end-user, EPC and/or as a supplier interacting with such customers)

Working experience in multinational / regional market is required.

Strong business acumen and a ‘team player’ mindset is essential. 

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel

Communicates professionally and effectively at any level with internal and external stakeholders.

Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication and negotiation skills in English language.

Ability to translate complex legal assessments in business language.

Strong attention to detail and excellent follow-through skills

A willingness to streamline processes and adapt to, and apply, change.

Strong teamwork within the legal team and across departments. Acts as role model in values, compliance and business ethics, providing legal advice aiming for sustainable business relationships.
