In this challenging position, you will lead a dynamic engineering team with a specific focus on innovative solutions in the field of manufacturing technology for diamond inserts. You will be shaping the future of our global production setup by working closely together with the research and development department. You will have a joint responsibility to guide a project portfolio to the implementation stage (organisationally and technologically) while continuously driving improvements of our in-house series production as well as supporting our sister plants in the global production network.

Numerical simulation plays an important role for innovative fastening products development. The simulation of anchoring system to concrete under static/dynamic loading is a challenging topic. Your role in the project is to simulate the loading process of anchors in concrete under different loading conditions with the aim of supporting innovative mechanical anchors development. Start date is flexible to the student's availability (ideally from March / April 2022), duration for at least 6 months.
Your task is to ideate, develop and test sensor prototypes for new visionary product concepts. Existing concepts need to be evaluated and refined, followed by a corresponding proof-of-concept under laboratory and job-site conditions. As lab technician in our multi-disciplinary materials research group, you will be responsible for the maintenance and calibration of our state-of-the-art labs (metallography, corrosion, tribology, and materials testing), while also carrying technical tasks on sample preparation and characterization.

In this role you get the chance to drive the operational excellence journey of the plant in Schaan together with the lean department. The internship will allow you to actively contribute to the plant’s annual productivity and cost performance targets.
Corrosion protection is key for all our fastening and installation products. You support the scientific and technical work in our competence area corrosion protection and work in our laboratories. Your tasks are planned and executed together with one of our experts. Besides testing the corrosion protection of our products, you evaluate the results using modern metallographic equipment. You will document the findings in technical reports. Duration of the internship: 3-12 months, preferred starting date May 2022
