Within this new role you will drive a completely new to be developed service for our Hilti customer. These services are based on core business processes, which we want to develop further and mostly consists out of hardware components, connectivity interfaces, software application and mobile App support. Detailed analysis and characterization of components is a key supporting activity for our R&D projects, business units and production plants. These components comprise both metallographic samples from our tools and inserts (mostly steel based), as well as lithium-ion cells. As part of a multi-disciplinary team, you will be responsible for the technical tasks around the metallography activities and root cause analysis in failure investigations.

You’ll play an important role to bring major innovation in direct fastening (DX) product line by modelling and optimizing the complete application, including DX tool and consumables. Your task is to ideate, develop and test prototypes for new visionary product concepts. Corrosion protection is key for all our fastening and installation products. You support the scientific and technical work in our competence area corrosion protection and work in our laboratories. Your tasks are planned and executed together with one of our experts. Besides testing the corrosion protection of the products you evaluate the results using modern metallographic equipment. You will document the findings in technical reports. Start date: September 2019 for 3-6 months
