Lead Developer is a pivotal role in Hilti’s Global Application Software Unit, providing software engineering excellence combined with leadership on Scrum Dev Teams. The Lead Developer leads a Scrum delivery effort by fully understanding business objectives and effort breakdowns from a Product Owner, and by executing on the strategic direction driven by the Architecture. Lead Developer is responsible for implementing backlog tasks, architectural designs and solutions, and executing on the development tasks both directly and through leading the developers.
You will be participating with our multi-disciplinary Smart factory community in developing and implementing digitalization and Industry 4.0 projects as well as constructing a vision for the future of automation in the factory Start date is flexible to the student's availability (Jan/Feb/Mar 2021), duration for 6-9 months.
As an intern or thesis student you will be based in the manufacturing department in the headquarter of Hilti in Schaan, Principality of Liechtenstein. Your responsibilities will cover different projects ranging from applying machine learning algorithms to predict machine failures, analyzing machine and process data to detect nonconformities to computer vision to automate quality inspections. Start ideally January/February 2021

As an Agile / Scrum Coach you are responsible for making sure that the members of a large software project team are well trained on the values of the Scrum framework and Agile practices. You oversee the development of the Scrum Masters in the organizational unit and coach them in their personal development of Agile mastery. You are also ensuring that the team members are aware of their respective roles and how they will fulfil them while using the framework and Scrum ceremonies.
